Women

Several of the ladies have formed a sewing group.   They get together quite often to sew hand-made Bears. These are then delivered to the local hospital for children (and adults) who might need a ‘special friend’ to cuddle. They also deliver these to all the new babies of our congregation.

Senior Adults

We have a very active SENIOR ADULT MINISTRY at Jamestown Christian Church that provides an opportunity to join together in fellowship. They meet on a monthly basis to share a meal and a different activity. Some months, a special speaker may come and speak on a topic of interest to everyone. Other months it may involve travel, music or other forms of entertainment.

Other things the senior adults are also involved in:

• Weekly visits to our members that reside at the local nursing home as well as other residents that may need a little conversation or just to know that we care.  Several also provide the activities director with assistance during the various activities scheduled at the home.
• Several of our dear ladies put great effort into a Card Ministry for the ill, grieving and shut-ins.

Prayer & Calling

Prayer and Calling Team at Jamestown Christian Church. Many of the men and women in this ministry make a consecrated effort to reach out to those who have requested prayer, those who may need a phone call to check on them, and those that may just need a special visit to their home.

Praise & Worship

Jamestown Christian Church is blessed with a great Praise and Worship Ministry. The mission of this ministry is to prepare the hearts of those attending for worship and accepting the Word.  We appreciate all of our teams, thanking them for their willingness to share their God given talents during worship services at JCC.

Looking to Volunteer?

Many members of JCC volunteer their time in service to others weekly.  We have a Server List readily available and can ALWAYS use more members to rotate on this schedule.  There are many areas to serve; whether it be in the Sunday School classroom, the parking lot,  checking attendance, there are a myriad of opportunities.  Contact the church office and we will be glad to find a spot just for you.
