The Bible is the inspired Word of God, giving a true history of the creation of heaven, earth, and humanity and containing a correct prophecy of the ages to come regarding heaven, earth, and the destiny of humanity. Moreover, there is no salvation outside of what is taught in its pages.
We are a Non-Denominational Church. As a body of believers we are totally independent of any outside governing group. The church holds only to the teachings of the New Testament, with the Bible as the only guidebook.
Our Mission is two-fold:
To accomplish that goal:
We present the gospel message to hearers as often as possible and strive to meet the spiritual needs of hurting people. Plans are designed to present Jesus in a way that is relevant for both the person who has known Jesus, and the one who is trying to get to know Him as their personal Savior.
We also present and create opportunities for Bible study, fellowship and service for the members of the church. As Christians, we are to support and encourage one another in our daily walk, and in turn challenge each other to grow as Christians.
We believe:
The church is the body of Christ on earth, empowered by the Holy Spirit and exists to save the lost and strenthen the saved. (Ephesians 4:1-16)
Jesus Christ will one day return to the earth and reign forever as King of kings and Lord of lords. (I Thessalonians 4:13-18)
“There is a place for everyone.”
Our desire is to include as many as possible in ministry. We strive to do this by sharing ministry responsibilities through a team approach. Members and attenders can choose areas in which they desire to serve .
For more information on any team, group or ministry, contact our church office here.
Anyone attending Jamestown Christian Church is welcome to participate in any non-leadership activities of the church.
For those who want to make a serious commitment to Christ and/or become a member of this congregation, these two steps must be taken:
If you are interested in receiving Christ or committing to membership, we ask that you walk forward at the close of the worship service or call the church office at 270-343-4570, for more information.
